On the Piedmontese shores of Lake Maggiore, camellias have been cultivated for 150 years. The combination of local expertise and the passion of a few enthusiasts to enhance this unique botanical heritage led to the creation of the Italian Camellia Society in 1965 and the first Camellia exhibition in Italy.
The purpose of the event is to spread knowledge of the flower and its countless varieties.
