Massimo Falsaci’s exhibition project “Io ti cercherò” offers an emotional journey into his art. It starts with a retrospective at the Sala del Consiglio in Palazzo Mandamentale and then spreads throughout the city’s fabric. His artistic vision engages in a dialogue with both the artificial and natural landscape of Cannobio, using a fresh and contemporary artistic language made of materials and techniques drawn from street art.
Massimo Falsaci’s artistic research comes to life through a combination of digital images and acrylic painting, applied to various surfaces: canvas, glass, steel, vinyl, and even walls. He draws inspiration from his travel photography, as well as from images in newspapers, magazines, and online. He looks for shots that convey an emotion, a feeling, something that goes beyond technical perfection. Once he selects an image, he processes it digitally to enhance the colors and contrasts, further personalizing the subject. He then transfers the design onto canvas, breaking it into small fragmented areas, each corresponding to an acrylic color. This stylistic choice allows him to achieve an effect similar to photography, with sharp, defined colors and no gradients.
He loves using bold, vivid colors to create strong contrasts that highlight the power of the gazes, illuminated by an intense, almost unreal light, capable of expressing deep emotions.
